Today is...

my oral final for this block! I'm a little nervous, but it's not too bad. I think I'll do well.

Here are some more pictures from March 12 (I edited all of these the other night, but none from any other day- that's why all I'm posting are from March 12!)

Happy Belated Easter!

I hope everyone had a great Easter! I'm excited about this week...only 3 days of class and then BLOCK BREAK! Not that I have any plans, I really don't, but it'll be nice to get a little break from school.

Here are a few layouts I've been working on lately. This one uses Mandy Mystique's kit Peachy Keen, available here. It was for a challenge at ESS- I had to use the word "Family" somewhere on my page. I really like the picture, too.

This one uses Amanda Heimann Designs' collab with Eva Kipler Designs, I Sea. I Sea was just recently released at Scrap Orchard, you can check it out here. I love this kit. It is perfect for beach pics or swimming pics or Sea World pics (which is what I have!).

This one is for another challenge at ESS- we had to use these lyrics on our page. I'm kind of iffy about this layout. I'm not sure I really like it. But anyways, it uses Pixie Perfect Designs' Hopes and Dreams kit, available here.

And now a few pictures! These are all from March 12 and are all of Egan and Nico! Hope they make you smile!

The results are in...

about class selection for next year!

But I'm going to make you wait, and show you a cute layout I did yesterday first! This layout uses Amanda Heimann's Grape Soda and Sunshine kit, available here.

All kinds of good news today. First, I got an email back from Financial Aid, and they said "we will not take any aid from you" and "your aid will not be affected" to my questions about going off the meal plan next year and how that could/would change my financial aid package. They also told me that any aid they give OVER the amount that is due, so if I owed $42,000 and they gave me $43,000 (which I think is about right, actually), they will just cut me a check for the extra $1,000. Which is awesome.

Okay. Now about classes. Bad news first. I didn't get into one of my classes, and it was one I was very excited about: Environmental Justice in the Southwest. And I'm #16 on the waiting list, so I don't think there's any chance of me getting in, which is a bummer. I think I'm going to fill that empty spot (block 2) with a class called "Re-enchanting the World: An Ecological Perspective". But anyways, here's my schedule for next year!

Block 1: Topics in Studio Art: Fiber Arts

Blcok 2: (empty for now)

Block 3: Topics in Southwest Studies/Film Studies: The Western

Block 4: Mentoring At-Risk Youth

Block 5: Foundations of Nonviolence

Block 6: Southwestern Art and Culture

Block 7: Photography

Block 8: Southwest American Indian Music

I'm pretty positive I'm going to have so much fun next year! Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Challenge me!

I've been really into digital scrapbooking challenges lately. Basically, you get some set of instructions, and then create a layout from there. Once you've uploaded your layout, you get a prize. I've been doing the challenges at Enchanted Studio Scraps, and there the prizes are points. You get anywhere from 20 - 60 points per challenge completed, and once you get 500 points, you get a $5 gift card to the ESS store.

This layout was for the Color Sorcery challenge at ESS, where they give you a color scheme to use on your page. (Kit is Pixie Perfect Designs' Spring Fling, check it out here.)
This one was for the Build a Fairy Treehouse challenge at Enchanted Studio Scraps. Basically, they give you a template and you have to make a layout with it. (Kit is Mandy Mystiques' Dragonfly Dreams, available here. Plus, Mandy is retiring, so you can buy her entire store for $10, or any individual kit for $1. That's an amazing deal!)
And now a few pictures, basically just some of my favorites from layouts I've done lately!

It's that time of year...

Everybody is getting antsy for the end of the year, for summer, even for next year. The question that everyone is asking is "What are your plans for this summer?". And so I'm working on my summer plans. I know I need a job. I applied at a really cool summer day camp, so hopefully that will work out. If not, I have a few less fun jobs that I'm applying for as well.

Also, on Friday we turned in our Preregistration forms for next year, with the classes we want to take. On Wednesday everyone finds out what classes they actually got in. I can't wait! I'm really hoping that I got into everything I put down...if so, it's going to be a really fun year next year! (And I'll finish up all but 2 of the classes I need for my Southwest Studies major.)

This Friday, apartment applications for next year are due. In case you hadn't heard, I'm applying to live in an on-campus apartment next year with three other girls. The great thing about that is that I can go off the meal plan and make/buy my own food. This will save me a TON of money. Seriously, for first semester I'll end up paying about $700 (for tuition, my room, AND insurance) and then for the second semester, CC will end up refunding me almost $1000. Plus my MEF scholarship is $625 each semester, which would pay for food. So all in all, at the end of the year, I would be getting paid to go to school. (This is how I'm hoping it works out, at least! I sent the Financial Aid Office an email to check all of my facts, I'll let you know when they get back with me!)

Because I've been so bad about posting pictures in the past week, here's one from each day!

I've been really lazy lately...

With everything, not just the blog. Well, with everything except digital scrapbooking. Here are some recent layouts.

The first two use Pixie Perfect Designs' "Toddler Time: Girl", which is set to be released tomorrow! So be sure you check out her store.

This one uses another unreleased kit by PPD, Gypsy Spring. I believe it's going to be a freebie for anyone signed up for Holly's newsletter, so you should sign up! It will probably be placed in her store at some point, though, if you don't get in on the freebie.

The last two use Sherry Ferguson's newest kit, Citrus Sunrise. It's currently on sale here for only $1!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

April Fools' Day

It is April 1 and I have a test today. However, my professor was sick yesterday and didn't come to class (we watched a movie in spanish), so I wonder if she's going to come in and say that having a test today is just an April Fools' Day joke. I hope not, though, because I studied quite a bit!

I should have a couple of layouts tomorrow...Sherry Ferguson is releasing a new kit called Citrus Sunshine tomorrow at Funky Playground Designs. It has a really great color scheme, so be on the lookout!

A few pictures today...

One last thing. I really hope they don't try to pull any April Fools' Day pranks on American Idol tonight. I just think that would be so horrible.
